Terms of service

On this page
These terms cover everything you buy from CF Copywriting. Buying a package means you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t order.
Who we are
CF Copywriting is operated by Derrick Wesson, 3390 Fairburn Rd, Atlanta, GA 30331, USA. In these terms, “we” means CF Copywriting and “you” means the person or business placing the order.
Packages
Each package has a fixed price, a stated scope (word or page cap, extras and number of revision rounds) and an estimated turnaround. What’s included is what the package page says. Anything outside it is a quote, and we’ll tell you the price before doing the work.
Standing exclusions: design and layout, publishing or uploading, images, keyword research tools unless a package says so, promises about results or rankings, fact-checking your claims, and review of legal, medical or financial claims.
Orders and payment
Orders are paid in full at checkout, through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. An order is accepted when payment clears. We may decline an order for any reason, and if we do, we refund you in full.
Prices are in USD. If any sales tax applies to your order, it will be shown before you pay.
What you do
- Send a complete brief after payment. We start when it’s complete.
- Give us accurate facts. You confirm you own or have the right to use everything you send us, and that the claims, prices, statistics and testimonials you give us are true and can be backed up.
- Approve every claim before you publish. You’re responsible for checking regulated wording (health, finance, legal, earnings) with a qualified professional.
- Send feedback in good time, in one consolidated message.
Turnaround
Day counts are estimates, in business days, counted from when payment has cleared and your brief is complete. Time you take to reply doesn’t count. Each item has its own estimate. We don’t guarantee a delivery date. If a date is at risk, we’ll tell you before it passes.
Revisions
Each package includes one or two revision rounds, as shown on the package. A round is one consolidated set of feedback, sent within 14 days of delivery. We’ll revise wording, tone, order and emphasis. A new audience, a new offer, a different brief or new source material is a new job, and we’ll quote it. Extra rounds are quoted.
Refunds
See our Refunds page, which is part of these terms. It sets out the only refund rights you have under this agreement.
Ownership and portfolio
When your order is paid in full, we assign to you the copyright in the final deliverables. Until then you have a limited licence to review the copy. Drafts, rejected concepts and unused material remain ours.
Our tools, templates and process, and anything we owned before your project, stay ours. What you send us stays yours.
We use your project in a portfolio only with your written permission. Email is enough. The default is no.
We write original copy and don’t knowingly copy anyone else’s work. We don’t warrant that it’s free of third-party claims, and we don’t offer trademark, copyright or plagiarism clearance.
Confidentiality
We keep your brief and materials confidential and use them only to complete your project. We may share them with contracted writers or editors who are bound to keep them confidential.
AI use
See our AI use page. In short, Derrick Wesson and our writers write and edit your copy; if we use AI tools for research, transcription, outlines or editing, we review the result ourselves, and we don’t put your confidential material into a public tool without your OK. Text produced with AI assistance may have weaker copyright protection, and we can’t promise it can be registered.
Claims and approvals
We aren’t a law firm, a medical practice or a financial adviser, and nothing we write is legal, medical or financial advice. If we write marketing emails for you, you are the sender, and you’re responsible for including your physical address, a working unsubscribe and honest subject lines under the CAN-SPAM Act.
No guarantee of results
We write with your goals in mind. We don’t promise rankings, traffic, conversions, sales or any other result. They depend on your offer, traffic, pricing, design and market.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an item is limited to the amount you paid for that item. We aren’t liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can’t be waived.
Disputes
If something’s wrong, contact us first and give us a chance to fix it. Write to sales@cfcopywriting.com or call (404) 629-3421. These terms are governed by Georgia law. Any dispute that isn’t settled will be heard in the courts of Fulton County, Georgia, or the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you order is the one that applies to that order. The date at the top shows the latest update.
